Introduction
•The idea for Optics Exhibits at the Irvine City Hall and Orange County Airport in California came from the merging of concepts that many fundamental sciences have been developed in Southern California and Orange County and many have optics at their cores.  In addition, many industries involving optics have grown up in Southern California and the Irvine City Hall and OC Airport have been identified as places to showcase them.
•One good reason for the OISC to pursue this project is so the project and the OISC will act as a focal point to organize and improve the public outreach education effort of the optics and related industries.
